CFO Study 2022
Finance at the Crossroads of the Coronavirus, Digitalization and Sustainability: What CFOs need to consider on the way out of the crisis
Many companies have emerged from the pandemic stronger than before. They have succeeded in securing their day-to-day business and a “New Normal” has settled in despite recurring challenges. For CFOs and the finance function, this means focusing on the opportunities and risks in the market environment and defining the way forward. At the same time, the increasing relevance of sustainability and the rapid acceleration of digitalization are creating a new field of tension that is transforming the role of the CFO.
For this year's CFO Study, we once again surveyed more than 200 CFOs and managing directors on how they deal with these and other challenges, trends, and the corresponding opportunities and risks. On the basis of seven theses, the study report describes what the ideal-typical "New Normal" target picture of the finance function should look like and shows the transformation path already taken as well as future fields of action. In addition to exciting project experience and new impulses, it will also give you the benefit of global insights from the perspective of other executives.
