Status quo of sustainability transformation – Becoming sustainable against all odds
Climate neutrality is by no means on the one and only top management's priority in regard of sustainability. For nine out of ten companies, reducing resource consumption is currently the most important task, even ahead of decarbonization. The current Horváth top study "Status quo of sustainability transformation" shows how economies in Germany, Europe and beyond are facing up to sustainability transformation. Although Sustainability ranks high in strategic priority and management attention, the ambitious goal – on average, companies want to be climate-neutral by 2032 - contrasts with a sobering status quo: So far, only eleven percent of companies have achieved truly tangible CO2 savings.
To find out how companies are handling this gap, we surveyed 180 top executives worldwide about their strategies and success factors.
