- First half of the business year closed with double-digit growth in turnover
- In addition to core business, People, AI and Sustainability business areas grow
- Management level further expanded
The international management consultancy Horváth has once again concluded the first half of its current financial year (1 April to 30 September 2023) with significant double-digit growth compared to the same period last year. Horváth is thus consistently continuing the successful course that last brought a record financial year in 2022 with a 23 percent increase. "In addition to our core topics of performance management and transformation, the consulting fields of AI, sustainability and people are developing into further growth drivers," says Helmut Ahr, CEO of Horváth.
AI expertise in demand - not only in digitisation projects
"The media attention of ChatGPT and similar applications has catapulted GenAI as a topic onto the board agenda," says Horváth CEO Helmut Ahr. The decisive question that top management is currently asking is: "Do the new technologies offer groundbreaking potential for my company, what value does it generate and where can I specifically start?" Horváth evaluates this with application scenarios that show how the business model, corporate processes, data management and technological requirements must be adapted to fully exploit the transformational potential.
Taking sustainability to the next level
The consulting field "Sustainability & Green Transformation" also remains a strong growth driver for Horváth. The focus is on transformation projects in the areas of decarbonisation, hydrogen and green electrification. Furthermore, the implementation of regulatory requirements such as ESG, CSRD and EU taxonomy must be driven forward. Looking ahead, it is important to strategically integrate sustainability ambitions even better into the entire value chain and to make use of digitalisation in the process.
Consulting field "People"
"Turnover in consulting on people-related topics has almost doubled compared to the previous year. All our studies and conversations with board members show that attracting, retaining and motivating employees has become one of the most important strategic competitive factors internationally - if not the most important," says Ahr.
Personnel growth continues - four new associate partners appointed
Horváth has also continued to grow strongly in terms of personnel with currently around 1,350 employees. After eight new executives were appointed at partner level in the spring, four more associate partners joined the circle on 1 October. "The composition of the new Associate Partners underlines our focus on internationality and cross-industry transformation topics in the field of performance management and digitalisation," says Horváth CEO Helmut Ahr. Ferenc Balogh is Head of Financial Industries in Hungary. Stefan Leber is a controlling expert and CFO consultant at the Vienna office. Daniel Müller, also a finance and controlling expert, advises on finance transformation. Ingo Rasch is an expert for SAP S4/Hana transformations and is assigned to the Zurich company.
