Procurement and supply chain management play a vital role in introducing sustainability criteria into companies’ supply chains.
This white paper marks the first of two papers that shows how corporations nowadays can implement sustainability aspects into their operations management and sourcing behavior. We point out the increasing importance of sustainability in the context of supply chain management and identify the environmental and social criteria which are most crucial for multinational corporations.
