„S/4HANA as an innovation driver for reporting"
The transition to SAP S/4HANA is changing the IT infrastructure of many companies, affecting not only the ERP, the operational processes and data, but also the business intelligence applications based on it for corporate performance management. Consequently, the transition to S/4HANA should not be understood as a purely technical migration. In addition to new systems and interfaces, a complete realignment of management tools, roles, and processes needs to take place. What does S/4HANA fundamentally change in Reporting & Analytics?
With the transition to S/4HANA, three fundamental changes drive the transformation of Reporting & Analytics:
- More computing power: S/4HANA enables detailed ERP data to be analyzed and reported in real time. There are virtually no limits in terms of granularity, scope, and size of data models.
- Data integration: S/4HANA creates a single central point of truth (SPOT) for financial data. Additionally, more business logic and rules can run directly in the ERP than before. The results are immediately available for reporting.
- New technologies and improved user experience: S/4HANA simplifies and accelerates the use of new technologies. To obtain maximum integration of architecture, the use of new solutions for transactional reporting (SAP Fiori), consolidation (S/4 Group Re- porting), and reporting (SAP Analytics Cloud) is recommended and should be examined.
